COURSE DESCRIPTION
This
course is designed to provide students an in depth experience in drawing. Each
student should have
an advanced level of proficiency in drawing from life as well as from reference
and idea.
ACTIVITIES
A series of drawings will be developed with input
from the instructor. The student will explore in drawing an area or concept
that interests them, which will vary according to the needs of the individual
student. Students may use a variety of methods of drawing and a variety of media.
Critique will be set up and determined by the student and the instructor. The
series number, media and size will be determined at the beginning of the course
and adhered to until their completion. Final series will be appropriately mounted
and hung for critique at the end of the semester, and will be accompanied by
an artist’s statement relating to the work.
You will also be required to write an artist’s statement relevant to the
work .
